Director, CMBU Product Management

Role Summary

Lead strategy, roadmap and lifecycle management for a global DRAM product portfolio serving hyperscale cloud, enterprise OEM, AI accelerator, and client markets. Manage a global product management team and represent the business with executive leadership, customers, and industry partners.

This role drives product direction for emerging memory technologies and datacenter LPDDR solutions through customer engagement, market insight, and cross-functional collaboration.

Experience Level

Senior — requires substantial leadership experience; posting specifies 10+ years in the semiconductor industry with product management or product development responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Define and execute a multi-year product strategy and roadmap for a global DRAM portfolio.
  • Own full product lifecycle activities: planning, stage-gate reviews, launch, and end-of-life decisions.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver products via Micron’s Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process.
  • Engage customers and industry partners to gather requirements and shape positioning and value propositions.
  • Build and develop a high-performing product management organization and provide portfolio updates to executive leadership.

Requirements

Must-have experience and skills:

  • 10+ years in the semiconductor industry with product management or product development responsibilities.
  • Proven experience developing product strategies and managing products across the full lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated success leading teams and influencing cross-functional organizations.
  • Strong business acumen, executive communication skills, and customer-facing experience.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with DRAM products, memory technologies, and datacenter memory solutions.
  • Familiarity with AI infrastructure, accelerator architectures, and memory requirements for AI workloads.
  • Experience presenting to senior executives and representing the company with customers, partners, or industry forums.
  • Understanding of agentic AI workflows and implications for future memory strategies.

Education Requirements

Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. Preferred: MBA or Master’s degree in Management, Engineering, or a related field.
