Role Summary

Lead and scale a global Silicon Field Application Engineering (FAE) organization that delivers consistent customer outcomes from evaluation through deployment. The role owns execution quality, incident governance, staffing and enablement for silicon bring-up and customer support across regions.

This position is responsible for defining metrics, operating models, and cross-functional delivery with Sales, Program Management and Engineering.

Experience Level

Senior — requires extensive leadership and technical field experience (see Requirements for details).

Responsibilities

Operate as the accountable leader for a distributed Silicon FAE organization and customer-facing delivery:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a distributed team of ~10–12 Silicon FAEs across regions and time zones.
  • Own global execution quality for silicon evaluation, deployment, and customer support motions.
  • Design and operationalize evaluation-to-deployment processes, staffing models, regional coverage, skill mapping, and on-call/critical-issue frameworks.
  • Define and track key metrics (Day‑0 pass rate, time-to-first-result, MTTR/MTTI, critical-issue quality, customer progression to production).
  • Partner with Sales, Account teams, Program Managers, and Engineering on account strategy and delivery risk mitigation.
  • Ensure escalation paths into L2/L3 with high-quality evidence and closure for critical issues.
  • Build technical enablement programs, career ladders, and represent field priorities for roadmap, errata, tooling, and support content.
  • Lead executive-level customer engagements for lighthouse or high-risk accounts.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

  • 12+ years in semiconductor, customer engineering, or FAE roles, with 5+ years leading senior technical field teams.
  • Proven leadership of globally distributed, customer-facing engineering teams.
  • Strong background in server silicon/platform bring-up, deployment, and support models.
  • Direct experience with server and network infrastructure ecosystem players (hyperscalers, OEM/ODM, cloud, networking).
  • Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration with sales, product, and engineering at executive and working levels.
  • Operational expertise in RACI, lifecycle gates, incident management, and critical-issue governance.
  • Ability to lead technical escalations and establish predictable, evidence-driven escalation processes.
  • Candidate must have the right to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred; equivalent practical experience is accepted.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience creating or transforming FAE organizations during business-model transitions.
  • Familiarity with Arm-based server ecosystems and Cloud AI infrastructure.
  • Experience managing multilingual, multi-cultural teams across US/EU/China/Japan.
  • Track record of prioritizing partner and customer needs to deliver practical solutions.

Compensation

Salary range: $323,000–$437,000 per year.
