Digital Verification Engineer - MCU

Role Summary

Join the MCU verification team in Catania to develop and execute verification environments and testbenches for microcontroller subsystems. The role focuses on functional verification using industry-standard methodologies to ensure design quality throughout the product development lifecycle.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Early-career (typically 2+ years of relevant digital verification experience).

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include planning and implementing verification activities and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Design and implement verification environments and testbenches using UVM and SystemVerilog.
• Create detailed verification plans and identify corner cases from specifications.
• Develop, run, and debug testcases; analyze simulation results and drive issue resolution with design engineers.
• Develop and maintain assertions, functional coverage models, and verification scripts.
• Participate in verification reviews and contribute to improving verification methodologies and flows.
• Collaborate with design, architecture and software teams across the product lifecycle.
• Document verification strategies, test plans and results.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and abilities.

• Typically 2+ years of experience in digital IC design verification.
• Strong proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM.
• Experience with industry simulators such as Questa, VCS, or Xcelium.
• Solid understanding of digital design principles and architectures.
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Perl, or Tcl).
• Familiarity with metric-driven verification and assertion-based verification.
• Good problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field specified by the employer.
