Digital Verification Engineer Intern - Fall 2026
Role Summary
Support digital verification activities for ASIC/SoC projects at NXP's Austin Oakhill office during the Fall 2026 work term (Aug/Sept–Dec). The intern will assist the verification team with test development, simulation, debugging, and documentation to help improve design quality and verification coverage.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship; intended for current students. Work term: Fall 2026 (Aug/Sept–Dec).
Responsibilities
Work under team guidance to execute verification tasks and support design quality.
- Develop test scenarios, run simulations, and analyze results.
- Assist with debugging design issues and maintaining test environments.
- Help increase verification coverage and validate fixes.
- Collaborate with design and methodology teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
- Prepare concise reports and documentation summarizing findings and status.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of verification practices and technical learning.
Requirements
Core skills and attributes required or strongly preferred.
- Must-have: Strong foundation in engineering fundamentals, problem solving, testing, and technical documentation.
- Must-have: Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical ideas clearly in English (written and spoken).
- Must-have: Willingness to learn quickly and follow team guidance.
- Nice-to-have: Hands-on experience from lab work, design projects, internships, coursework, or student competitions.
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with verification, design, programming, or lab tools relevant to digital verification.
Education Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related discipline (student status required for internship eligibility).
