Digital Verification Engineer Intern

Role Summary

Join the digital verification team in Kanata as an intern supporting verification of digital ASIC designs. You will develop and run test scenarios, analyze simulation results, assist debugging, and document findings under team guidance.

Opportunity to learn verification practices and contribute to design quality in a hands-on engineering environment.

Experience Level

Entry-level (Internship). Suitable for current undergraduate or graduate students; no prior professional experience required.

Responsibilities

As an intern you will assist the verification team with practical tasks including:

• Develop test scenarios and testbenches and run simulations.
• Analyze simulation results and verify coverage.
• Assist debugging of design issues and support issue resolution with design and methodology teams.
• Maintain test environments and verification infrastructure.
• Prepare concise reports and documentation summarizing findings and next steps.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of verification practices and team learning.

Requirements

Must-have

• Strong foundation in engineering fundamentals, problem solving, testing, and technical documentation.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical ideas clearly.
• Good written and spoken English communication skills.
• Willingness to learn quickly and follow technical guidance.

Nice-to-have

• Hands-on experience from lab work, design projects, coursework, student competitions, or internships.
• Familiarity with verification, design, programming, or lab tools.

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related discipline.
