Digital Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Join the R&D verification team in Milan to plan, develop and execute digital verification for complex mixed-signal ICs used in automotive and industrial applications. Work cross-functionally with design, system, architecture and validation teams to ensure high-quality silicon delivery.
Experience Level
Mid-level β 3 to 5 years of experience in digital verification of ASIC or SoC designs.
Responsibilities
Accountable for the verification flow from IP to SoC level and for driving verification quality and automation.
- Develop and execute verification plans for digital IPs, subsystems and SoC-level designs.
- Create and maintain UVM/SystemVerilog-based verification environments and reusable components.
- Implement constrained-random tests, sequences, scoreboards and coverage models.
- Run simulation and regression suites; analyze results and identify root causes.
- Define and monitor functional and code coverage metrics; drive issue resolution with design teams.
- Contribute to verification methodology improvements and automation initiatives.
- Support mixed-signal verification activities with analog and AMS teams and participate in design reviews.
- Contribute to meeting project quality, schedule and automotive requirements.
Requirements
Must-have:
- 3 to 5 years of digital verification experience on ASIC or SoC projects.
- Strong SystemVerilog and UVM knowledge.
- Experience with constrained-random verification, functional coverage and assertions.
- Familiarity with regression management and industry-standard EDA verification tools.
- Good understanding of digital design fundamentals and RTL concepts.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent English, written and spoken.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in automotive semiconductor development.
- Knowledge of low-power verification methodologies.
- Familiarity with mixed-signal IC development flows and formal verification techniques.
- Scripting experience (Python, Perl or Tcl).
- Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (SPI, I2C, CAN, UART).
Education Requirements
Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.
