Digital Logic & Design Verification Graduate Co-Op Program (Fall 2026)
Role Summary
Hands-on co-op role on Marvell's Digital Logic & Design Verification team working on digital IC and SoC blocks for data center and enterprise applications. The position provides exposure across the design lifecycle, including RTL development, simulation, verification, and silicon validation while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.
Experience Level
Entry-level — a graduate co-op intended for currently enrolled Master's or PhD students. No specific professional years-of-experience required.
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include:
- Contribute to RTL design and implementation of digital logic blocks for ASICs/SoCs
- Support micro-architecture development, design specification, and implementation
- Assist with synthesis, timing analysis, and design reviews
- Develop and execute verification test plans; build simulation environments and testbenches
- Debug simulation failures, analyze coverage, and work with designers to ensure functional correctness
- Automate workflows and analyze data using Python or similar scripting tools
- Collaborate with verification, physical design, and system teams across the chip development lifecycle
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and attributes:
- Strong foundation in digital logic design and computer architecture
- Familiarity with HDL languages such as Verilog or SystemVerilog
- Proficiency in problem solving, debugging, and clear technical communication
- Experience or willingness to use simulation and verification tools
Nice-to-have:
- Exposure to UVM or formal verification methodologies
- Experience with RTL design, simulation, or FPGA-based projects
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Perl, TCL, shell)
- Familiarity with SoC concepts or high-speed interfaces (PCIe, DDR)
- Prior internship or academic project experience in digital design or verification
Education Requirements
Currently enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (graduate-level co-op required).
