Job Title
Digital IP Engineer
Role Summary
Develop high-quality, reusable digital IPs for SoC/subsystem integration and drive designs from concept through silicon. Work with architecture, verification, synthesis, and validation teams to meet power, performance, area, and timing targets.
Experience Level
Mid-level (no explicit years-of-experience stated).
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and deliver digital IP blocks and support integration and sign-off.
- Define micro-architecture from IP requirements and implement RTL.
- Develop RTL using Verilog/SystemVerilog/VHDL aligned with specifications.
- Optimize designs for power, performance, and area.
- Run and interpret design checks: lint, CDC, synthesis, static timing analysis (STA).
- Drive bug triage, fixes, and closure through bring-up and sign-off.
- Support design reviews, IP integration, and handoff to verification and silicon teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on test plans and coverage closure.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and hands-on experience; preferred items listed separately.
- Strong RTL design skills (Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL).
- Solid understanding of SoC/IP design and integration.
- Hands-on experience with linting, CDC checks, synthesis flows, and timing analysis/STA.
- Experience with low-power design techniques and power-aware implementation.
- Proven ability to translate system-level requirements into IP micro-architecture and RTL.
- Experience driving bug fixes and supporting design sign-off.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in full-cycle IP/SoC development (architecture through silicon bring-up).
- Exposure to formal verification or low-power verification flows.
- Experience with post-silicon validation and bring-up.
Education Requirements
