Job Title

Digital IC Design Engineer (Sensing PS)

Role Summary

Develop digital IP for sensing integrated circuits, working across frontend and backend digital design flows and collaborating closely with analog, test, and product engineering teams. Role is based in Dallas, TX and supports high-volume Sensing IC products from concept through product release.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Early career β€” approximately 2 years of relevant industry experience expected.

Responsibilities

Deliver digital design and verification for Sensing ICs and support backend integration and production release.

  • Implement digital logic using SystemVerilog/Verilog (FSMs, DSP blocks, interfaces, power management).
  • Develop HDL testbenches and design models for verification; perform RTL and gate-level simulation.
  • Execute backend flow tasks: synthesis, place & route, post-timing analysis, ATPG, and design-for-test.
  • Generate functional and production test vectors for scan testing and characterize prototypes.
  • Translate system specifications into design requirements and analyze architecture trade-offs for performance and cost.
  • Coordinate with physical, analog, test, and product engineers; participate in design reviews and produce documentation.
  • Maintain and extend digital flow, evaluate EDA tools, and monitor IC layout progress.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and attributes.

  • 2 years of relevant design experience (experience level expected; degree listed under Education Requirements).
  • Strong understanding of digital logic design and RTL coding practices.
  • Proficient with SystemVerilog and Verilog; experience with simulators and RTL verification.
  • Familiarity with backend flows (synthesis, P&R, timing analysis) and simulation at RTL/gate levels.
  • Experience or knowledge of design-for-test and generation of test vectors.
  • Systematic problem solving, strong analytical skills, and effective written/verbal communication.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage time to meet project milestones.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. The posting specifies ~2 years of relevant industry experience. (No alternative "equivalent experience" clauses were provided.)
