Job Title

Digital IC Design Engineer

Role Summary

Design and implement digital logic, micro-architecture, and RTL for power-management integrated circuits (PMICs). Own block-level specifications and drive designs from concept through validation into production while collaborating with system, analog, verification, and product teams.

Work is within the PMIC group supporting automotive and high-performance power applications, including ASIL-related designs. Contribute automation and AI-assisted flows to improve design efficiency and quality.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” requires 5+ years of relevant digital design experience.

Responsibilities

The role includes block ownership, RTL development, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Define digital micro-architecture and implement RTL to meet system and analog requirements.
  • Drive the full digital flow from RTL to GDSII and apply best practices for physical implementation.
  • Collaborate with verification, validation, product, and test engineering to enable first-pass production transfer.
  • Lead technical discussions with internal and external stakeholders and provide cross-functional technical leadership.
  • Develop and champion automation and AI-assisted design flows to raise efficiency and repeatability.
  • Evaluate and integrate ARM cores and evolve PMIC microcontroller architectures over time.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

  • 5+ years of relevant digital design experience.
  • Thorough understanding of digital logic design and RTL-to-GDSII flow.
  • Familiarity with Verilog and digital simulators.

Preferred (nice-to-have):

  • Experience with digital design for integrated power products (PMICs).
  • Scripting and automation skills; aptitude for AI-assisted design workflows.
  • Experience with I2C, SPI, SPMI interfaces; asynchronous circuits and state machines.
  • Experience with SystemVerilog and design verification practices (UVM, testbench development, assertions, functional coverage).
  • Exposure to functional safety and ASIL-compliant methodologies.
  • Strong communication, ownership, and time-management skills.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree required. The posting lists "Degree Level Bachelor's Degree" but does not specify fields of study, equivalent-experience language, or required certifications.
