Job Title

Digital IC Design Engineer

Role Summary

Design and verify high-speed mixed-signal communication and high-performance digital circuits that interface with analog circuitry. Work on RTL coding, simulation, synthesis, timing closure, verification, and debugging for communication chips at both circuit and behavioral levels.

Collaborate with analog and digital design engineers to develop test methods, specifications, documentation, and demo hardware; plan and organize work to meet project timelines.

Experience Level

Entry / Early career β€” requires approximately 2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include development, verification, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Write and maintain RTL (Verilog) and perform simulation and synthesis tasks.
  • Perform timing closure, verification, evaluation, and debugging at circuit and behavioral levels.
  • Prepare test methods, specifications, datasheet input, application information, and demo boards.
  • Develop solutions to complex design problems and evaluate alternative approaches.
  • Plan and organize multiple tasks to ensure timely completion of assignments.
  • Communicate and collaborate with analog and digital engineering teams; participate in work groups and design reviews.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • Approximately 2 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Thorough understanding of digital logic design.
  • Familiarity with the Verilog language and simulators.
  • Understanding of analog functionality and exposure to analog IC design methods.
  • Systematic problem-solving ability.

Preferred / nice-to-have:

  • Experience with SystemVerilog.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across functions and work in teams.
  • Time management skills to deliver projects on schedule.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment and to take initiative.
