The role works across Systems, RF, Software, and Test teams to translate system requirements into efficient digital implementations and support product commercialization.
Experience Level
Entry-level. Typical candidate has 1+ year of relevant experience in FPGA or ASIC design and verification.
Responsibilities
The position involves architecture, implementation, verification, and release support of FPGA/SoC designs for wireless test systems.
- Translate system requirements into digital RTL/HDL implementations that meet performance targets.
- Develop, document, and execute development milestones and deliverables with project leads.
- Architect, implement, and verify FPGA/SOC designs using simulation, synthesis, and on-target validation.
- Perform design and verification reviews and present technical work to cross-disciplinary teams.
- Collaborate with Systems, RF, SW, and Test engineers to integrate hardware and software components.
- Support lab bring-up and commercialization activities for new hardware and features.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- 1+ year experience in FPGA or ASIC design flow: RTL/HDL through simulation, synthesis, and on-target verification.
- Practical experience with VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog and related simulator/synthesis CAD tools.
- Experience in HDL design verification (DV) methodologies.
- Familiarity with high-speed interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, UCIE) and SOC interconnects (AXI/AHB/AMBA, etc.).
- Experience working in a Linux development environment and in a product development setting with hands-on lab work.
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
Nice-to-have
- Experience with common FPGA vendor tool suites and High Level Synthesis (HLS).
- Knowledge of signal processing, digital communications, and wireless physical layer specifications.
- Experience with version control (git), Python, C/C++, and Matlab.
- Familiarity with embedded software (RTOS, embedded Linux) and Agentic AI workflows.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field is listed as the minimum qualification.
