Digital Design Verification Trainee

Role Summary

Join the Digital Design group in the Signal Integrity Product Business Unit to contribute to verification and development of advanced digital subsystems inside mixed-signal ICs. The role focuses on functional verification, behavioral modeling, and cross-discipline collaboration to deliver integrated silicon products.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities involve verification, modeling, documentation, and collaboration across design and validation teams.

• Functional verification of high-speed digital circuits using constrained-random methodologies (e.g., UVM/OVM) — major focus (~50%).
• Behavioral modeling and mixed-level simulation of analog/digital circuits (~10%).
• Support validation, test and product engineering during qualification (~5%).
• Create product and technical documentation and maintain project schedules (~5–7%).
• Provide technical guidance on verification tasks and mentor junior engineers (~5%).
• Collaborate with analog, firmware, system engineering and marketing to meet performance and customer requirements (~8%).
• Improve verification methodology and team productivity through reviews and enhancements (~10%).

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, tools and personal attributes for successful performance.

• Basic knowledge of constrained-random verification methodologies (UVM, OVM, AVM, or VMM).
• Familiarity with SystemVerilog and object-oriented verification concepts.
• Experience with scripting/programming languages such as Python, TCL, Perl or C.
• Knowledge of PC and Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Understanding of digital verification methods and behavioral modeling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; detail oriented and well organized.
• Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to work independently and in teams.
• Self-motivated, able to multitask and prioritize multiple responsibilities.

Education Requirements

B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is specified.
