Digital Design Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Work on design verification for large SoC designs with a focus on building UVM-based testbenches, debugging, and integration. The role requires ownership from specification through timing closure and physical design hand-off, and regular collaboration with architecture, verification, and physical design teams.

Experience Level

Mid-level - 5+ years of industry experience (SoC integration and verification focus).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include verification testbench development, integration, and cross-team coordination to meet project milestones.

  • Develop and maintain UVM testbenches for large digital designs.
  • Take designs from initial specification through timing closure and physical design hand-off.
  • Perform design debug and verification to identify and resolve functional and integration issues.
  • Collaborate with Architecture, Verification, and Physical Design teams to mitigate risks and meet schedules.
  • Drive verification tasks with a high degree of autonomy and technical ownership.

Requirements

Technical must-haves and preferred skills for successful performance in the role.

  • Must-have: 5+ years of industry experience focused on SoC integration, UVM testbench setup, and design debug.
  • Must-have: High proficiency in UVM and verification methodologies.
  • Must-have: Demonstrated ability to take projects from specification to timing closure and physical-design hand-off.
  • Must-have: Strong cross-functional collaboration and ability to work independently.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience on large-scale SoC projects and complex integration tasks.

Education Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required; Master of Science (MSEE) or PhD preferred. Fields noted: Electrical Engineering / related technical disciplines.
