Job Title

Digital Design Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Join the PCIe Subsystem verification team to develop and maintain SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches and verification infrastructure for next-generation processor subsystems. The role partners with architects, RTL designers, performance engineers, and post-silicon teams to ensure RTL designs meet functional and performance requirements.

Experience Level

Mid-level engineer. The posting requests an experienced verification engineer but does not specify years of experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focused on verification planning, environment development, and test execution.

  • Develop and enhance SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches for verifying PCIe features and related designs.
  • Collaborate with architects, RTL designers, performance and post-silicon validation engineers to define verification scope and requirements.
  • Create staging and test plans for new feature development and execute feature validation.
  • Design and run functional and performance tests aligned to design goals; analyze results and drive issue resolution.
  • Own verification tasks and contribute to verification strategy and delivery.
  • Improve verification productivity and automation, including use of AI tools where applicable.

Requirements

Concise list of required and preferred skills for successful performance in the role.

  • Must-have: Hands-on experience building verification environments with SystemVerilog and UVM; implementing tests, sequences, scoreboards, checkers, assertions, and coverage.
  • Experience with simulation and debug tools (e.g., VCS or equivalent simulators; debug viewers such as Debussy/DVE/Verdi).
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills, attention to detail, and effective written and verbal communication across distributed teams.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with PCIe, SATA, Ethernet protocols; exposure to RTL design, software development, formal verification, or post-silicon validation.
  • Self-starter, team player, able to work independently and present findings clearly.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related discipline preferred (for example Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science). The posting lists these degrees as preferred but does not state that they are mandatory.
