Job Title
Digital Design RTL Engineer
Role Summary
Design and deliver SystemVerilog RTL for high-performance SoC blocks through timing closure and hand-off to physical design. Work on advanced process nodes with cross-functional teams (Architecture, Verification, Physical Design) to resolve integration and performance issues.
Experience Level
Senior β typically 8+ years of relevant industry experience focused on SoC integration, high-speed interfaces, and RTL delivery.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include end-to-end RTL development, optimization for PPA, and cross-team integration to meet project milestones.
- Develop and deliver high-quality SystemVerilog RTL from specification to timing closure.
- Optimize RTL for performance, power, and area (PPA) in advanced process nodes (5nm and below).
- Analyze and mitigate clock domain crossing (CDC) and reset domain crossing (RDC) issues.
- Drive timing closure activities and prepare RTL for physical design hand-off.
- Collaborate with Architecture, Verification, and Physical Design teams to identify and mitigate integration risks.
- Implement low-power design techniques and verify their integration into the design flow.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and domain experience; nice-to-have items listed separately.
-
Must-have: Strong proficiency in SystemVerilog and RTL coding practices.
-
Must-have: Experience delivering RTL in advanced process nodes (5nm and below) with demonstrated PPA optimization.
-
Must-have: Hands-on experience with CDC/RDC analysis and timing closure methodologies.
-
Must-have: Experience with SoC integration and interfacing with physical design and verification teams.
-
Nice-to-have: Experience with LPDDR4/5/6, DDR4/5, high-speed SerDes, and/or HBM protocols.
-
Nice-to-have: Low-power design flow experience and familiarity with physical design constraints.
Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required; Master of Science (MSEE) or PhD preferred.
