Job Title
Digital Design RTL Engineer
Role Summary
Design and deliver SystemVerilog RTL for advanced SoC projects, driving designs from specification through timing closure and hand-off to physical design. Work on high-performance memory and SerDes interfaces and optimize for PPA, CDC/RDC, and low-power techniques.
Experience Level
Senior β requires 8+ years of industry experience focused on SoC integration, high-speed interfaces, or related RTL design work.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include delivering production-ready RTL and collaborating across teams to meet project milestones.
- Develop high-quality SystemVerilog RTL and take modules from specification to timing closure.
- Perform PPA optimization and implement low-power design techniques.
- Analyze and mitigate clock domain crossing (CDC) and reset domain crossing (RDC) issues.
- Integrate and validate high-speed interfaces (LPDDR, DDR, SerDes, HBM) at the SoC level.
- Collaborate with Architecture, Verification, and Physical Design teams to resolve implementation risks.
- Prepare RTL for physical design hand-off and support timing closure activities.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.
-
Must-have: 8+ years industry experience in SoC integration or RTL design focused roles.
-
Must-have: Strong proficiency in SystemVerilog and RTL design methodology.
-
Must-have: Experience with timing closure, PPA optimization, CDC/RDC analysis, and low-power flows.
-
Nice-to-have: Experience with LPDDR5/6 or DDR4/5, high-speed SerDes, or HBM protocols.
-
Nice-to-have: Prior work targeting advanced process nodes (5nm and below).
Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required; Master of Science (MSEE) or PhD preferred.
