Digital Design Manager
Texas InstrumentsJob Title
Digital Design Manager
Role Summary
Lead an IP domain vertical within the Embedded Processing Silicon IP Group, owning architecture, roadmap, and execution quality for reusable silicon IP used across TI SoC platforms. Collaborate with chip and software architects to define and deliver IP that shortens time-to-market and scales across product families.
Experience Level
Senior - 8β15 years of relevant SoC architecture, IP design, or digital/mixed-signal design experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Own end-to-end architecture and roadmap for the assigned IP domain from concept through silicon delivery.
- Define architectural requirements and micro-architecture specifications; lead trade-off analysis across power, performance, and area.
- Translate market and system requirements into implementable hardware and software features.
- Assess cost, power, security, and functional-safety implications of architectural choices at IP and SoC level.
- Drive IP reuse and platform standardization across multiple SoC families.
- Engage with external IP vendors, standards bodies, and ecosystem partners as required.
- Represent the vertical in cross-functional planning and present architectural vision to senior leadership.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- Demonstrated expertise in at least one IP domain vertical (AI accelerators; compute clusters; security; communications & audio; networking; control & sense; platform & infrastructure).
- Strong understanding of SoC architecture principles: system partitioning, bus fabrics, power domains, clock/reset, and memory subsystems.
- Proven ability to define architectural specifications and lead IP development from concept to tape-out.
- Experience with ARM Cortex-M/R/A processor families and/or RISC-V architectures.
- Solid foundation in hardware/software interface design and embedded system integration.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and making architecture trade-offs with partial data.
- Familiarity with functional-safety and security considerations applicable to IP design and SoC integration.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (as specified in the posting).
