Role Summary
Senior digital IC design engineer within Central Engineering responsible for developing and maintaining digital design flows and automation for high-performance SerDes IP. The role focuses on engineering productivity, scalable methodologies, and applying automation and AI/ML to improve design and verification workflows.

Responsibilities
The role supports SerDes IP development and cross-functional IP delivery through tooling, automation, and methodology work:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain digital design flows for high-performance SerDes IP.
- Create and optimize automation frameworks to increase design productivity and quality.
- Integrate AI/ML techniques into coding, automation, and engineering workflows.
- Support EDA tool integration for simulation, synthesis, static timing analysis (STA), and debugging.
- Design and maintain internal web-based tools and dashboards for engineering workflows and visualization.
- Troubleshoot design-flow issues in a Linux-based development environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to methodology documentation and best practices.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- Strong programming and scripting: Python, Perl, PHP, and/or Makefile.
- Experience applying AI/ML to improve coding, automation, or engineering processes.
- Practical knowledge of SerDes IP design concepts and methodologies.
- Experience with web application design and development for engineering tooling.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix development environments.
- Understanding of RTL design concepts using Verilog/SystemVerilog.
- Familiarity with industry EDA tools for simulation, synthesis, STA, and debug.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience building automation frameworks, dashboards, or data-visualization tools for engineering teams.
- Prior work on high-performance SerDes IP or similar high-speed interfaces.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Degrees in Mathematics, Physics, or other sciences will be considered if accompanied by relevant coursework or industry experience in electronics; equivalent practical experience is acceptable.
