Job Title

Digital Design Engineer Intern

Role Summary

Hands-on internship to support the design, simulation, and verification of digital integrated circuits. The intern will work with a team of engineers on RTL, FPGA prototyping, and timing analysis to validate digital modules and components.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship for current undergraduate or graduate students pursuing an engineering degree; suitable for those with coursework or project experience in digital design.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities while on assignment:

  • Assist in digital circuit design and simulation using Verilog or VHDL.
  • Support RTL design and verification activities for digital modules.
  • Create and use digital models to verify functionality and performance.
  • Perform FPGA prototyping and testing for rapid validation.
  • Contribute to static timing analysis and verification processes.
  • Document design work, test procedures, and results following team standards.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to identify and resolve design issues.
  • May require up to 10% travel.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • Experience with digital circuit design and simulation using Verilog or VHDL.
  • Knowledge of RTL design and verification methodologies.
  • Familiarity with digital modeling to verify circuit functionality and performance.
  • FPGA prototyping or relevant lab/coursework experience.
  • Basic understanding of static timing analysis and verification.
  • Ability to document design work and test results clearly.

Nice-to-have:

  • Prior coursework or projects in digital design.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team.

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
