Digital Design Engineer (f/m/d)
Role Summary
Entry-level digital design role supporting implementation, simulation, verification handoff, and documentation for semiconductor IP and SoC projects. The engineer will work within a cross-functional team (verification, physical design, validation) and receive guidance from senior engineers to deliver design blocks.
Experience Level
Entry-level / Early Career. Suitable for recent graduates or candidates with limited professional experience; the role involves mentoring and supervised tasks.
Responsibilities
Contribute to digital design tasks across implementation, checks, and documentation. Typical responsibilities include:
- Implement and simulate RTL under guidance; perform design checks and debug logic.
- Support code reviews and fix issues identified in simulation or reviews.
- Collaborate with verification, physical design, and validation teams to progress project milestones.
- Maintain clear design records, test results, and technical documentation.
- Contribute to engineering quality, knowledge sharing, and team learning throughout the development cycle.
- Perform security‑relevant tasks where required and follow processes for roles in scope of security certifications.
Requirements
Must-have:
- Strong foundation in engineering fundamentals, problem solving, testing, and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with engineering, design, verification, programming, or lab tools relevant to digital design and a willingness to learn quickly.
- Able to work in cross-functional teams and communicate technical ideas clearly.
- Good English communication skills (written and spoken).
- Conscientious, reliable work style suitable for roles with security responsibilities.
Nice-to-have:
- Hands-on experience from lab work, design projects, internships, coursework, or student competitions.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree (or graduating soon) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related discipline.
