Digital Design Engineer (Apprenticeship)
Role Summary
Apprentice on a digital verification team working on functional verification of SerDes PHY digital blocks. The role focuses on developing and running UVM-based testbenches, creating test sequences and checkers, analyzing simulation results, and collaborating with design engineers to close functional issues.
12-month, in-office apprenticeship based in Noida, India. Start date November 2026; full-time schedule.

Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain UVM-based testbenches for functional verification of digital SerDes PHY blocks.
- Create and execute test cases, sequences, assertions, and checkers to verify RTL functionality and protocol compliance for serial links.
- Analyze simulation results, debug failures, and work with design engineers to identify and resolve functional issues.
- Contribute to coverage-driven verification by developing functional coverage models and tracking verification metrics.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and program conditions:
- Strong fundamentals in digital electronics.
- Proficiency in Verilog and SystemVerilog; experience writing RTL and testbenches.
- Ability to analyze simulation logs and debug RTL/testbench failures.
- Open to limited prior internship experience; applicants must not be currently employed full-time.
- Good communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Exposure to functional verification methodologies such as UVM, OVM, or VMM.
- Theoretical knowledge of protocols such as PCIe.
Education Requirements
Completed Bachelor's degree (mandatory) in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. Candidates should be fresh graduates from the class of 2025 or 2026 and not currently enrolled in M.Tech programs or postgraduate diplomas.
