Job Title
Digital Design Engineer
Role Summary
Design and implement digital IP and subsystems for MPU and MCU products. The role focuses on defining micro-architectures, delivering RTL that meets functional, area and performance targets, and ensuring robust SoC integration.
Experience Level
Mid-level. The posting requests 5+ years of relevant digital design experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include designing digital IP, integrating with SoC teams, and optimizing for power, performance and security.
- Define micro-architecture for digital IP and implement RTL to meet specifications and area/performance targets.
- Design IP and subsystems for MPU and MCU-based products.
- Optimize designs for low power and implement security countermeasures per high-level security architecture.
- Ensure SoC integration requirements are met, including CDC, Lint, DFT and low-power considerations.
- Collaborate with IP architects and verification engineers to debug and resolve integration issues.
- Work with cross-functional and global teams to deliver designs on time and with required quality.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred qualifications concise.
-
Must-have: 5+ years of proven digital design experience in IP and subsystem design for MPU/MCU products.
-
Must-have: Strong RTL design and micro-architecture skills with experience managing area vs performance trade-offs.
-
Must-have: Experience optimizing for low-power designs and working to meet SoC integration requirements (CDC, Lint, DFT).
-
Must-have: Proven ability to debug IP/subsystem/SoC integration issues in coordination with verification teams; strong communication skills.
-
Nice-to-have: Experience with Security & Crypto IP, security countermeasures and secure subsystem development.
-
Nice-to-have: Familiarity with RDC and subsystem-level integration challenges for SoC products.
