Job Title

Digital Design Engineer

Role Summary

Work on the ATD Automation - Shuttle Team to develop and deliver TI Shuttle (process test vehicles) and supporting tools, flows, and infrastructure for advanced technology development.

Responsibilities span tapeout/process understanding, shuttle layout optimization, design verification (DRC/reticle DRC), and automation including AI-driven tooling.

Experience Level

Entry-level / New graduate; no explicit years of experience required. Suitable for candidates early in their career.

Responsibilities

Primary day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Develop and deliver shuttle layout and reticle-aware mask solutions optimized for cost.
  • Build expertise in TI process nodes and tapeout (process/gate) flow.
  • Verify designs for adherence to DRC and reticle DRC requirements.
  • Collaborate with Process, PDK, and business teams to plan and execute shuttle projects.
  • Develop automation and AI-driven tools to accelerate execution and improve throughput.
  • Participate in on-the-job learning and training programs (Career Accelerator Program).

Requirements

  • Preferred: Familiarity or coursework/experience in digital IC design, layout methodologies, DRC/reticle DRC, or automation tool development.
  • Preferred: Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.
  • Preferred: Initiative and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive results.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field is required. The posting specifies a cumulative GPA of 6.0/10.0 or higher.
