Digital ASIC Design Engineer
Role Summary
As a Digital ASIC Design Engineer on the ASICS Engineering team, you will implement and verify digital IP and SoC blocks for high-performance, low-power ASICs used in mobile, automotive, compute, AI and XR products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architecture, perform logic design and support silicon bring-up.
Experience Level
Entry-level (0β3 years). Preferred: 6+ months relevant ASIC design, scripting, or architecture experience.
Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include block- and IP-level design, verification support, and process improvement.
- Execute architecture and digital design of SoC/IP following design protocols and project plans.
- Implement RTL and support verification efforts for ASICs, SoC, and IP cores; focus on clock and power-related features.
- Analyze and design IP blocks; perform system simulation and logic design tasks.
- Investigate and resolve architecture, design, and verification issues using standard ASIC engineering practices.
- Provide silicon feedback to improve design methodology and flows; identify areas for automation and process improvements.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- RTL design experience in Verilog/SystemVerilog or VHDL.
- Proficiency in scripting or automation (Python, Perl, or similar).
- Experience with ASIC design flows, simulation tools, or verification methodologies.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in clock design for ASIC/SoC.
- Familiarity with power-aware design techniques and low-power SoC implementation.
- Experience with sub-4nm process design or complex SoC projects.
Education Requirements
Required: Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field. Preferred: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
