Diagnostic Network Software Engineer (RDSS Intern)
Role Summary
Develop and maintain diagnostic firmware and software tools for NVIDIA DGX/MGX servers, GPU baseboards, and PCIe cards as part of the NPI Diagnostic team. The role supports factory build, validation, debugging, and productization of diagnostic solutions.
This position is an RDSS internship focused on firmware and diagnostic software for server GPU platforms.

Entry-level (Internship).
Responsibilities
Contribute to the design, implementation, and validation of diagnostic and security tooling for NVIDIA platforms. Primary responsibilities include:
- Develop, maintain, and debug CX/BF chip firmware/software and NBU diagnostic software for DGX/MGX servers, GPU baseboards, and PCIe cards.
- Define architecture and implement security diagnostic tools and test coverage for DGX products.
- Create diagnostic tools and scripts to support production and factory validation.
- Design diagnostic software to validate GPU, CPU, NIC, and DPU hardware for performance and quality.
- Propose and evaluate network solutions to satisfy DGX/GPU server requirements.
- Help ensure software development processes meet security and performance standards.
Requirements
Required and preferred technical skills and attributes.
Must-have:
- Practical experience in software/firmware design, development, or analysis.
- Embedded software development experience in a Linux environment; experience building or implementing embedded software/drivers.
- Proficient in C, C++, and Python; solid algorithms and data structures knowledge.
- Hands-on development experience with a strong understanding of computer architecture and operating system fundamentals.
- Collaborative, self-motivated, able to work independently and under pressure.
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with DMTF PLDM, MCTP, SPDM standards.
- Experience with RISC-V, Root of Trust, SBIOS, or BMC firmware.
- Experience with threat modeling and attack-vector analysis.
Education Requirements
Master's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering β or equivalent practical experience.
