Role Summary

Join the Client SOC DFX team responsible for defining and implementing design-for-testability and debug features for next-generation microprocessors. The role focuses on RTL design and DFX feature delivery, collaborating with verification, CAD, IP, and cross-functional teams to ensure product quality.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include designing and implementing DFX features, supporting low-power flows, and working with verification and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality RTL.

• Plan and implement DFX features such as JTAG, scan, boundary scan, and debug infrastructure.
• Support low-power features and UPF integration in DFX flows.
• Coordinate requirements and power scenarios with CAD and IP teams.
• Collaborate with DFX verification to ensure design quality.
• Participate in DFX process and methodology initiatives and improvements.
• Provide technical support to cross-functional engineering teams.
• Work collaboratively within a distributed team across sites and time zones.

Requirements

Technical skills and experience expected for success in this role.

• Must-have: Practical experience with DFX feature implementation and familiarity with RTL design and verification languages (Verilog, SystemVerilog, VHDL) and simulators/tools (example: VCS).
• Must-have: Proficiency in scripting and programming (C/C++, Python, Perl, TCL) for automation and tooling tasks.
• Must-have: Experience working in medium-to-large engineering teams and collaborating across sites.
• Nice-to-have: Knowledge of scan/MBIST architectures and advanced DFX techniques.
• Nice-to-have: Background in computing or graphics architectures.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
