Job Title

DFT Technical Leader

Role Summary

Join Cisco's Common Hardware Group (Silicon One development) as an ASIC Technical Leader focused on Design-for-Test (DFT). Lead DFT strategy, IP development, and integration across front-end RTL, back-end physical design, and post-silicon validation for high-performance networking ASICs.

Experience Level

Senior level β€” requires at least 10 years of relevant ASIC, DFT, or silicon engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include defining, implementing, and validating DFT features throughout the design and post-silicon lifecycle.

  • Implement DFT features to support ATE, in-system test, debug, and diagnostics.
  • Develop innovative DFT IP and integrate testability features into RTL and full-chip designs.
  • Collaborate with front-end design, verification, and physical-design teams to enable test-logic integration and validation during implementation and signoff.
  • Define reusable test and debug strategies for new silicon (including bare die and stacked die).
  • Drive DFT and quality processes through implementation flow and post-silicon validation; participate in physical-design signoff activities.
  • Debug complex problems and craft solutions with minimal mentorship.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and hands-on experience.

  • 10+ years of professional experience in DFT, test, or silicon engineering.
  • Experience with JTAG, scan architectures, boundary scan and various BIST (including memory BIST).
  • Hands-on use of ATPG and EDA tools such as TestMax, Tetramax, Tessent tool sets, and PrimeTime.
  • Experience with gate-level simulation and debugging using VCS or similar simulators.
  • Post-silicon validation and debug experience; familiarity with ATE patterns and IEEE P1687 (IJTAG).
  • Verilog and SystemVerilog experience for DFT logic, IP integration, logic equivalency checks, and test-timing validation.
  • DFT CAD development experience: test architecture, methodology, infrastructure and test static timing analysis.
  • Ability to work independently, lead technical discussions, and collaborate across multifunctional teams.

Education Requirements

Required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering. The posting specifies degree is required in addition to the minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
