Job Title

DFT Senior Engineer

Role Summary

Work on SoC DFT activities for Broadcom APD designs, including DFT architecture, test insertion and verification, pattern generation, coverage improvement, post-silicon debug, and yield improvement. Collaborate with Physical Design & STA for DFT mode timing closure and interact with external customers when required.

Experience Level

Senior level. Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities for the role include:

• Define and implement DFT architecture for SoC designs.
• Perform DFT insertion and verification across design flows.
• Generate test patterns and improve test coverage and quality.
• Run vector simulation and troubleshoot test failures.
• Lead post-silicon debug and yield-improvement activities.
• Work with Physical Design & STA to achieve DFT mode timing closure.
• Coordinate with distributed teams and external customers as needed.
• Develop scripts and automation to support DFT flows and analysis.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience (education listed separately):

• In-depth knowledge of DFT concepts and methodologies.
• Experience with ATPG, MBIST, and IJTAG workflows and tools.
• Hands-on experience in DFT insertion, verification, pattern generation, coverage improvement, and vector simulation.
• Proven experience in post-silicon debug and yield-improvement activities.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Proficiency in scripting for automation (Perl, shell, or similar).
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across multiple geographies; strong communication skills.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with Mentor Graphics Tessent (Tessent Shell) or equivalent DFT toolsets.
• Prior experience interfacing directly with external customers.

Education Requirements
