Role Summary

Join the Annapurna Labs semiconductor engineering team within AWS to design and implement Design-for-Testability (DFT) solutions for advanced cloud infrastructure chips. The role focuses on DFT strategy, test pattern generation, chip bring-up, and collaboration with design and verification teams to ensure production-quality silicon.

Experience Level

Mid-level — 4+ years of experience as a DFT engineer in a semiconductor company (as specified in the posting).

Responsibilities

The role requires hands-on DFT and cross-disciplinary collaboration to deliver testable, reliable silicon.

• Define and implement comprehensive DFT strategies for advanced semiconductor platforms.
• Generate and optimize test patterns using ATPG and related methodologies.
• Perform scan insertion and support implementation flows for testability.
• Support chip bring-up, gate-level simulation, and lifecycle test processes.
• Work with architects and logic designers to incorporate testability into architecture and RTL.
• Collaborate with verification and cross-functional teams to validate test coverage and debug failures.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and practical experience.

• 4+ years experience as a DFT engineer in a semiconductor company (see Experience Level).
• Practical experience with ATPG and scan insertion tools.
• Proficiency in Verilog and SystemVerilog.
• Experience with gate-level simulation and static timing analysis.
• Strong scripting skills (Perl, Tcl) for automation and tool integration.
• Familiarity with verification methodologies and test verification practices.
• Ability to work effectively in collaborative, international engineering teams.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering is listed as the education requirement.
