Job Title

DFT Engineer, Nitro Team

Role Summary

Design-for-Testability (DFT) engineer on the Nitro semiconductor team (Annapurna Labs / AWS Utility Computing). Develop and integrate DFT strategies, generate test patterns, and support chip bring-up to ensure testability and reliability of cloud infrastructure SoCs.

Work closely with RTL, verification, and physical design teams to deliver testable silicon for AWS compute platforms.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” typically requires around 4+ years of semiconductor DFT engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Develop comprehensive DFT strategies for advanced semiconductor platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (RTL, verification, physical design) to integrate DFT features.
  • Generate and optimize ATPG test patterns and manage scan insertion flows.
  • Support chip bring-up, gate-level simulations, and lifecycle test processes.
  • Contribute to architectural definition and logic design with testability in mind.
  • Automate DFT flows and develop scripts to improve verification and test efficiency.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred skills:

  • 4+ years of experience as a DFT engineer in a semiconductor company.
  • Proficiency in Verilog and SystemVerilog.
  • Experience with ATPG and scan insertion tools; gate-level simulation and static timing analysis.
  • Strong scripting skills (Perl, Tcl).
  • Familiarity with verification methodologies and working in collaborative, international engineering teams.
  • Nice-to-have: experience with chip architectural definition and logic design for large-scale systems.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering is listed as a basic qualification.
