Job Title

DFT Engineer, Graviton Team

Role Summary

Join the Graviton/Annapurna Labs DFT team to design and validate design-for-test architectures for high-performance ASIC/SoC platforms that power AWS infrastructure. The role focuses on DFT architecture, test pattern development, verification, timing analysis, and silicon bring-up support.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” requires 3+ years of experience as a DFT engineer in a semiconductor company.

Responsibilities

Deliver and validate DFT solutions across the chip lifecycle; collaborate with design, verification, and bring-up teams.

  • Design and implement advanced DFT architectures for complex SoCs.
  • Develop robust test and debug patterns for silicon validation.
  • Perform static timing analysis across multiple DFT modes and identify timing closure issues.
  • Verify DFT logic, scan chains, and related components at RTL and gate level.
  • Support silicon bring-up, device diagnostics, and failure analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate DFT into the design flow.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred skills listed separately.

  • 3+ years experience as a DFT engineer in a semiconductor company.
  • Hands-on experience with DFT architecture and test pattern development.
  • Experience with scan insertion tools, ATPG, and gate-level simulation for test validation.
  • Proven ability to perform timing analysis and debug timing issues introduced by DFT.
  • Experience supporting silicon bring-up and device-level diagnostics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative engineering team.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with Verilog/SystemVerilog and UVM-based verification environments.
  • Familiarity with FPGA/emulator platforms and deterministic in-fleet test concepts.
  • Scripting experience (Perl, Tcl) and familiarity with Tessent or similar DFT toolsets.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is stated as the baseline; equivalent practical experience is accepted.
