Job Title
DFT Engineer, Graviton Team
Role Summary
Design and verify Design-for-Test (DFT) architectures and test infrastructure for complex ASIC platforms used in AWS Graviton processors. Work with SoC design, verification, and bring-up teams to ensure silicon testability, debug, and production readiness.
Experience Level
Mid-level β typically requires 3+ years of professional DFT experience in a semiconductor company.
Responsibilities
Primary duties for this role include hands-on DFT architecture, verification, and support for silicon validation.
- Design and implement DFT architectures and scan networks for complex SoCs.
- Create high-quality test and debug patterns for silicon validation and manufacturing test.
- Perform static timing analysis across multiple DFT modes and ensure timing closure where applicable.
- Verify DFT logic and components using gate-level simulation, emulation, and verification platforms.
- Support silicon bring-up, debug device failures, and develop diagnostic flows.
- Collaborate with RTL designers, verification engineers, and test/ATE teams to integrate DFT solutions.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience followed by concise nice-to-have items.
-
Must-have: 3+ years of DFT engineering experience in a semiconductor company.
-
Must-have: Practical experience designing and implementing scan architectures and test patterns.
-
Must-have: Experience supporting silicon bring-up and device diagnostics.
-
Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Verilog/SystemVerilog and gate-level simulation.
-
Nice-to-have: Experience with scan insertion tools, ATPG tools, and streaming scan network concepts.
-
Nice-to-have: Experience with verification platforms (UVM), FPGA/emulator environments, and ATE flows.
-
Nice-to-have: Advanced scripting skills (Perl, Tcl) for automation and test infrastructure.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related technical field is listed; equivalent practical experience is accepted.
