Job Title

DFT Engineer, Graviton Team

Role Summary

Design and implement design-for-test (DFT) architectures and test infrastructure for complex Graviton-class SoC platforms at Annapurna Labs (an AWS semiconductor group). The role focuses on DFT architecture, pattern generation, static timing across DFT modes, verification of DFT logic, and supporting silicon bring-up and diagnostics.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” requires at least 3 years' experience as a DFT engineer in a semiconductor company.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include designing testability features, producing test patterns, verifying DFT structures, and supporting silicon validation and diagnostics.

  • Design and implement advanced DFT architectures for complex SoCs.
  • Create high-quality test and debug patterns to ensure robust manufacturing test coverage.
  • Perform static timing analysis across multiple DFT modes and constraints.
  • Verify DFT logic and related components at RTL and gate levels.
  • Integrate scan infrastructure and support scan insertion flows.
  • Support silicon bring-up, device diagnostics, and failure analysis on real silicon.
  • Collaborate with design, verification, and bring-up teams to resolve testability and quality issues.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience are listed first; preferred skills follow.

  • Must-have: 3+ years as a DFT engineer in a semiconductor company implementing DFT for production chips.
  • Must-have: Practical experience with scan insertion flows and ATPG-based manufacturing test methodologies.
  • Must-have: Experience with gate-level simulations and verifying DFT logic.
  • Preferred / Nice-to-have: Verilog and SystemVerilog experience for DFT and testbenches.
  • Preferred / Nice-to-have: Familiarity with UVM-based verification, FPGA prototyping, and emulator platforms.
  • Preferred / Nice-to-have: Scripting skills (Perl, Tcl) to automate flows and tooling integration.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is stated as the baseline; equivalent practical experience is acceptable.
