Job Title

DFT Engineer, Graviton Team

Role Summary

Design and implement Design‑for‑Test (DFT) architectures and test patterns for Graviton-class SoCs within Annapurna Labs (part of AWS). Collaborate with RTL, physical design, validation, and silicon teams to ensure testability, debugability, and successful silicon bring‑up for cloud infrastructure platforms.

Work emphasizes reliable, scalable DFT solutions for complex semiconductor platforms used in AWS compute products.

Experience Level

Mid-level — typically requires 3+ years of DFT engineering experience in a semiconductor company.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include DFT architecture, verification, and production support:

  • Design and implement advanced DFT architectures for complex SoCs.
  • Develop test and debug patterns to ensure robust manufacturing and field diagnostics.
  • Perform static timing analysis across multiple DFT modes.
  • Verify DFT logic and components using simulation and verification methodologies.
  • Support silicon bring‑up, failure analysis, and device diagnostic processes.

Requirements

Key must-have and preferred skills; degree requirements are summarized separately below.

  • Must-have: 3+ years working as a DFT engineer in a semiconductor company.
  • Must-have: Hands-on experience with Verilog and SystemVerilog.
  • Must-have: Experience with scan insertion tools, ATPG, and gate‑level simulation.
  • Must-have: Strong scripting skills for automation (Perl, Tcl).
  • Preferred: Experience with UVM test benches, FPGA and emulator environments.
  • Preferred: General chip design experience and prior involvement in silicon bring‑up and diagnostics.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is listed as the baseline; equivalent practical experience is explicitly accepted.
