Job Title

DFT Engineer, Graviton Team

Role Summary

Design and implement design-for-test (DFT) architectures and verification for Graviton-class Arm-based server processors at Annapurna Labs (AWS). Focus areas include test pattern and debug development, static timing across DFT modes, verification of DFT logic, and supporting silicon bring-up and diagnostics.

This role contributes to silicon that underpins AWS compute infrastructure.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” 3+ years experience as a DFT engineer in a semiconductor company.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Design and implement DFT architectures for complex SoCs.
  • Develop and validate test and debug patterns ensuring robust coverage.
  • Perform comprehensive static timing analysis across multiple DFT modes.
  • Verify DFT logic and components (scan, compression, test infrastructure).
  • Support silicon bring-up, failure analysis, and device diagnostics.
  • Collaborate with RTL, synthesis, timing, validation teams and document designs and test plans.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

  • 3+ years experience as a DFT engineer in a semiconductor company.
  • Strong RTL skills in Verilog/SystemVerilog for DFT implementation and test pattern development.
  • Experience with scan insertion tools, ATPG, and gate-level simulation.
  • Practical knowledge of static timing analysis across DFT modes.
  • Experience with silicon bring-up, debug, and device-level diagnostics.
  • Ability to develop and maintain automation scripts and test flows.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with UVM testbenches and FPGA/emulator environments.
  • Advanced scripting in Perl, Tcl, or similar languages.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
