Job Title

DFT Engineer, Automotive Robotics

Role Summary

As a DFT Engineer on the Automotive Robotics team you will define and deliver DFT strategies for multi-chiplet SiP automotive SoCs. You will collaborate with silicon design, DFT, OSAT partners, test engineering, and customers to enable high-volume, automotive-grade production.

Work includes DFx architecture, test planning, ATPG and coverage analysis, implementation verification, and post-silicon support to meet performance, quality, and safety targets.

Experience Level

Senior — typically 10+ years of relevant industry experience; candidates will be assessed for level during the interview process.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include DFx strategy, test planning, and cross-functional coordination.

  • Define DFx strategy for multi-chiplet packages from architecture through high-volume production.
  • Coordinate test, yield, and quality efforts across internal teams, OSAT partners, and customers.
  • Plan, implement, and verify MBIST, LBIST, and IST.
  • Implement JTAG, scan compression, and ASST solutions.
  • Perform ATPG runs and test coverage analysis; optimize test content and insertion flows.
  • Translate system and safety requirements into constraints on package architecture and DFT.
  • Support test engineering with pattern planning, debugging, and post-silicon test activities.
  • Capture lessons learned and feed them into next-generation SiP architecture and DFT strategy.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • Proven experience with industry-standard ATPG and DfX insertion CAD tools.
  • Fluent in RTL coding for DfX logic (lock-up latches, clock gates, scan anchors).
  • Strong knowledge of fault models: stuck-at, transition, path-delay, IDDQ, and cell-aware models.
  • Experience with MBIST, LBIST, IST planning, implementation, and verification.
  • Experience implementing JTAG, scan compression, and ASST; performing ATPG and coverage analysis.
  • Experience defining DfX strategy for multi-chiplet SiP or complex multi-die packages.

Nice-to-have:

  • Exposure to post-silicon testing, tester pattern debug, and fault campaigns.
  • Experience with low-power designs and multiple clock domains.
  • Automotive-grade production experience and familiarity with safety requirements.

Education Requirements

Not specified.
