Job Title
DFT Engineer (ATPG & SSN – Streaming Scan Network)
Role Summary
Hands-on DFT engineer responsible for implementing and validating scan/ATPG solutions and supporting post-silicon diagnosis at block and SoC levels. Works with synthesis, STA, physical design, and test teams to deliver testable designs and resolve manufacturing/test issues.
Experience Level
Senior — 10+ years of relevant DFT/ATPG experience.
Responsibilities
Primary duties focus on DFT implementation, verification, and silicon bring-up support.
- Implement DFT features including scan insertion, ATPG generation, simulations, and post-silicon diagnosis for blocks and SoCs.
- Verify test patterns using gate-level simulations and debug failing patterns.
- Collaborate with Synthesis, STA, and Physical Design teams to identify and resolve DFT-related issues.
- Partner with test engineers during silicon bring-up and support failure analysis.
- Use industry tools to generate and validate ATPG and scan solutions.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and relevant experience; preferred items are listed separately.
-
Must-have: 10+ years of DFT experience with strong knowledge of scan and ATPG methodologies.
-
Must-have: Hands-on experience with Synopsys TetraMAX, VCS, Verdi, and DC/Fusion Compiler.
-
Must-have: Experience verifying test patterns via gate-level simulation and performing post-silicon diagnosis.
-
Must-have: Ability to work cross-functionally with Synthesis, STA, Physical Design, and test teams.
-
Preferred: Experience developing DFT architectures and specifications; familiarity with JTAG.
-
Preferred: Debugging MBIST, coverage analysis, and silicon failure modes.
