Work within an ASIC/SoC engineering team and collaborate with design, verification, physical design, and product engineering throughout the development lifecycle.

Onsite role in Santa Clara, CA. Long-term contract engagement with preference for local candidates or those able to work onsite.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” 5+ years of hands-on DFT experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include designing DFT architecture, implementing test infrastructure, and supporting silicon bring-up and production test activities.

  • Design and implement DFT architecture for ASIC and SoC designs.
  • Develop and integrate scan compression, MBIST, LBIST, JTAG, and IJTAG solutions.
  • Perform ATPG, fault simulation, and test coverage analysis.
  • Support silicon bring-up, debug, characterization, and production test activities.
  • Collaborate with Design, Verification, Physical Design, and Product Engineering teams during the development cycle.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience follow; preferred items are listed separately.

  • Must-have: 5+ years of hands-on Design-for-Test (DFT) experience.
  • Must-have: Strong expertise in scan, scan compression, MBIST, LBIST, ATPG, and JTAG technologies.
  • Must-have: Solid understanding of IEEE 1149.1, IEEE 1500, and IEEE 1687 (IJTAG) standards.
  • Must-have: Experience with one or more industry DFT toolflows (examples: Synopsys TestMAX/DFT Compiler, Siemens Tessent, Cadence Modus).
  • Must-have: Proficiency in Verilog and/or SystemVerilog.
  • Must-have: Scripting skills in Python, Perl, Tcl, or Shell for automation and flows.
  • Preferred: ASIC/SoC development experience and production test background.
  • Preferred: Experience in silicon bring-up, debug, characterization, and production test operations.
