Role Summary

Work on Arm Solutions group's DFT team to architect, implement and validate design-for-test (DFT) solutions for test chips and hard macros. Collaborate with RTL, verification, physical implementation, and test teams across project lifecycle through tape-out and silicon bring-up.

Experience Level

Mid-level; 2–5 years of professional experience in Design for Test (DFT).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on RTL- and gate-level DFT insertion, validation, and generation of ATE-targeted test patterns, and on silicon test and debug.

• Architect and implement DFT techniques for test chips and hard macros.
• Insert DFT logic at RTL and gate/synthesis levels and validate features end-to-end.
• Generate ATPG and ATE-targeted test patterns and support silicon test/characterization.
• Coordinate with front-end design, verification, synthesis, place-and-route, STA, and test/debug teams for timing closure and validation.
• Perform fault simulation, back-annotated gate-level verification, and silicon debug including memory and scan diagnostics.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and environment experience.

• 2–5 years proven experience in Design for Test (DFT).
• Experience coding in Verilog RTL and scripting with TCL and/or Perl.
• Proficient in Unix/Linux environments.
• Core DFT skills such as scan compression and insertion, Memory BIST and repair schemes, Logic BIST, JTAG/IJTAG, at-speed test, ATPG, and fault simulation.
• Experience with back-annotated gate-level verification, silicon debug, and memory/scan diagnostics.

Nice-to-have

• Familiarity with IEEE 1149, 1500, 1687, 1838 standards.
• Synthesis and static timing analysis experience.
• Experience with SoC architectures, multi-clock domains, and low-power design practices.
• Experience with Siemens, Cadence, and/or Synopsys DFT and simulation tools; validated understanding of Siemens DFT tools.
• Familiarity with Arm IP (Cortex, Mali, AMBA, CoreLink, CoreSight) and 2.5D/3D test concepts.
• Strong collaboration, time management, and ability to work independently when required.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
