Work as an ASIC/SoC digital design engineer focused on Design for Test (DFT). The role delivers DFT insertion, ATPG, MBIST and debug to meet test coverage and quality objectives while collaborating with architecture, design, verification and customers.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” 2–10 years of professional experience in SoC/ASIC digital design with a focus on DFT.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Perform scan chain insertion and manage DFT insertion flows.
  • Implement compression scan, LBIST, MBIST and other scan technologies.
  • Generate ATPG patterns using metrics-driven approaches to achieve target fault coverage.
  • Debug failures, analyze faults and improve test coverage.
  • Verify ATPG testbenches and debug root causes of simulation mis-compares.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Architecture, Design, Verification, internal/external customers).
  • Complete DFT tasks independently and meet project schedules.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications:

  • 2–10 years SoC/ASIC digital design experience with a DFT focus.
  • Hands-on experience with DFT insertion flows and scan chain insertion.
  • Experience with compression scan insertion and LBIST.
  • Expertise in MBIST and ATPG pattern generation and coverage analysis.
  • Experience debugging ATPG/MBIST failures and verifying testbenches.
  • Working knowledge of JTAG (1149.1/6), IEEE1500 and IEEE1687.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively; strong problem-solving skills.
  • US citizenship required.
  • Prior experience with Cadence tools and flows is highly desirable.
