DFT Design Engineer
Role Summary
Lead and contribute to the design-for-test (DFT) and design-for-debug (DFD) capabilities for complex SoC/APU/GPU products within a centralized DFX engineering organization. Deliver DFT architecture, automation, CAD flows, and tools to support global ASIC design teams.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include leading engineering work and delivering DFT infrastructure, automation, and verification for complex ASIC designs.
- Lead a team of DFT engineers: provide technical direction, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Define and implement DFT architecture and features for SoC and IP subsystems.
- Develop and deploy automated design flows and CAD automation to integrate DFT features.
- Create and maintain scripts and utilities (Perl, Python, TCL, shell) for scalable automation.
- Set up and execute design checks using industry-standard and in-house tools; monitor regressions, debug failures, and analyze coverage.
- Develop in-house automation, utilities, intranet web portals, and AI/ML applications to support DFX teams.
- Collaborate with global design teams to standardize methodology and tools.

Must-have:
- Practical experience with DFT architecture and implementing DFT features in complex ASIC/SoC designs.
- Experience creating and deploying automated design/CAD flows and running CAD/IP regressions.
- Scripting/automation skills in one or more: Perl, Python, TCL, or shell.
- Strong problem-solving, written/oral communication, and teamwork skills; experience mentoring or leading engineers.

- C++, SQL and object-oriented programming experience.
- Experience applying AI/ML to tooling or automation.
- Digital circuits and VLSI design knowledge; experience developing web portals or internal tools.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
