DevOps and Technical Documentation Specialist
Role Summary
Work on build, test, and deployment infrastructure for Saber EDA products while producing clear, maintainable technical documentation. The role combines hands-on DevOps automation with authoring structured user and developer guides.
You'll operate across Windows and Linux environments, collaborate with product teams and subject matter experts, and improve CI/CD and monitoring to increase engineering velocity.
Experience Level
Mid-level β typically 5+ years of relevant experience in DevOps, quality engineering, documentation, or software development.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include automating infrastructure, maintaining build/test systems, and producing DITA XML documentation for product releases.
- Automate build and test infrastructure using CI tools (e.g., TeamCity, Jenkins) to improve reliability and cycle time.
- Integrate Agentic AI techniques to extend and improve automation workflows where appropriate.
- Manage system builds, configurations, patches, and upgrades across Windows and Linux environments.
- Design, develop, and debug development and test environments supporting Saber EDA tools.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and user guides in DITA XML using standard templates.
- Collaborate with product teams and subject matter experts to validate technical accuracy and keep documentation release-ready.
- Develop monitoring and performance practices to detect issues before they escalate into incidents.
Requirements
Looking for candidates who can deliver production-grade automation and clear technical documentation. Must-haves are listed first.
Must-have:
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, quality engineering, documentation, or software development, ideally in EDA or semiconductor domains.
- Strong proficiency in Python or Perl for scripting and automation.
- Solid understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems and cross-platform workflows.
- Experience with CI tools such as TeamCity or Jenkins and with source control systems like Perforce and Git.
- Ability to collaborate with engineers and product managers to gather technical input and convert it into automation or documentation.
Nice-to-have:
- DITA XML authoring experience and familiarity with Oxygen XML Editor.
- Knowledge of Agentic AI applied to automation workflows.
- Experience with web programming, databases, C/C++, compilers, distributed storage, or RESTful API development.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, MCA, or a related technical field; or equivalent practical experience.
