Device Engineer (GaN)

Role Summary

Establish and operate wafer-level GaN device measurement capabilities in Chengdu. Perform device characterization, stress and reliability testing, data analysis and device modeling to support GaN product development. Report to the Director, GaN Products and collaborate with process, test, and reliability engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Build and maintain wafer-level GaN measurement setups.
• Perform wafer-level device characterization including DC, pulsed and CV measurements.
• Execute wafer-level stress tests and accelerated reliability tests.
• Analyze measurement data; perform device physics modeling/extraction and statistical analysis.
• Assist in device modeling efforts.
• Provide device-level guidance and collaborate cross-functionally with PE, TE and RE teams.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

• Strong knowledge of semiconductor device fundamentals, device physics, modeling, design and fabrication.
• Hands-on experience in semiconductor device characterization and measurement techniques.
• Solid math and physics foundations; eager to learn and able to work with a strong sense of urgency.
• Familiarity with coding for equipment control/automation; experience with Python and AI-assisted coding is preferred.

Education Requirements

M.S. degree or higher in microelectronics.
