Device Characterization Engineer, Advanced & Emerging Memory
Role Summary
Lead electrical characterization for advanced DRAM and emerging memory devices within the TD Electrical Device Characterization team. Drive development and scaling of characterization methods from early development through production, combining hands-on experimentation, data-driven analysis, and cross-functional technical leadership.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include measurement, automation, analysis, and collaboration.
- Lead electrical characterization of advanced DRAM and emerging memory devices.
- Develop and scale characterization methodologies, models, and standards for device performance and reliability.
- Design, implement, and automate test flows, data pipelines, and analysis tools.
- Investigate device behavior, reliability mechanisms, and perform root-cause analysis.
- Operate and validate parametric test equipment and wafer-level or ATE systems.
- Present technical findings across process, build, and systems teams and mentor other engineers.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- Strong foundation in semiconductor device physics and electrical characterization for DRAM and emerging memory architectures.
- Experience with reliability characterization and establishing time-zero baselines.
- Hands-on experience with parametric test equipment, wafer-level test, or ATE systems.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python for test automation and data analysis; experience using AI/LLM tools for automation or analysis.
- Ability to develop methods and scale them toward manufacturing; strong problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience scaling characterization methods into manufacturing flows.
- Prior technical leadership, mentoring, or subject-matter expertise.
Education Requirements
MS or PhD (or equivalent practical experience) in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field. Equivalent experience accepted.
