Design Verification - Intern
Role Summary
Join a development team responsible for IP used in Marvell's next-generation network switches. The team covers specification, architecture, design, and verification of switching products.
This internship provides hands-on experience in switch architecture, design verification, and verification tools and methodologies under engineer mentorship.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship. Intended for current students with at least two years remaining before graduation.
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include:
- Implement design and verification features for switch IPs.
- Write verification test plans using random techniques and coverage analysis.
- Develop and maintain object-oriented random verification environments (SystemVerilog/UVM).
- Create and tune tests to meet functional and code coverage goals.
- Debug simulation failures and perform root-cause analysis.
- Analyze and close functional and code coverage items to tapeout quality.
- Use scripting to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
Requirements
Key qualifications and expectations.
- Good understanding of object-oriented programming and digital logic (must-have).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team (must-have).
- Interest in learning SystemVerilog, UVM, Python, and C++ (nice-to-have).
- Familiarity with verification methodologies, random testing, and coverage analysis is beneficial (nice-to-have).
- May require eligibility to access export-controlled technology; non-U.S. applicants may be subject to export license review.
Education Requirements
Candidate must be pursuing a BS or MS degree (MS preferred) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. Applicants should have at least two years remaining before graduation.
