Design Verification Engineer (RDSS Intern)

Role Summary

As an RDSS intern on the Multimedia IP team in Hsinchu, you will participate in RTL verification for multimedia IP used in NVIDIA GPUs and SoCs. The role focuses on developing verification environments, test plans, testcases, checkers and coverage, and collaborating with design and architecture teams to identify and debug functional issues.

You will gain hands-on experience with SystemVerilog/UVM, assertions, functional coverage, and simulation-based verification within an SoC/IP development workflow.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship. No specific years of prior professional experience required; this is an intern position.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include planning and executing verification tasks across block and chip levels.

  • Define verification scope with architects, SoC, and IP teams.
  • Create verification plans and develop verification environments.
  • Develop and debug testcases, checkers, and functional coverage models.
  • Apply SystemVerilog, UVM and related methodologies at block and full-chip levels.
  • Run regression suites and analyze functional and code coverage results.
  • Investigate and debug RTL issues and corner cases with design teams.
  • Contribute to verification strategy, process improvements, and automation.

Requirements

Must-have skills and qualifications for the internship.

  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming.
  • Experience with AI agents or AI-enabled automation workflows for engineering tasks.
  • Fundamental understanding of digital design and verification principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to follow verification protocols and methodologies strictly.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience building or integrating AI agents to automate engineering workflows.
  • Experience writing C++ or SystemC models.
  • Scripting skills: Python, Perl, TCL, Make, shell.
  • Proven experience implementing complex verification strategies in high-stakes projects.

Education Requirements
