GPU Design Verification Engineer
Intel CorporationJob Title
GPU Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Perform functional verification of graphics logic (3D graphics, media, display) to ensure designs meet microarchitecture specifications. Work on scalable, reusable verification plans, testbenches, and verification infrastructure for GPU IP.
Collaborate with GPU architects, RTL developers, and physical design teams to find, debug, and resolve design issues before silicon.
Experience Level
Entry-level / early-career. The role expects approximately 1+ years of relevant verification or ASIC experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Define and develop scalable, reusable IP verification plans and verification architecture.
- Implement and maintain testbenches and verification environments.
- Execute verification plans, run system simulations, and analyze functional, performance, power, and timing behavior.
- Replicate failures, perform root-cause analysis, and debug issues in pre-silicon environments.
- Work with architects, RTL designers, and physical design teams to validate complex features and meet functional/performance targets.
- Document test plans, drive technical reviews, and improve verification methodology and infrastructure.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed as nice-to-have.
- Must-have: Experience with SystemVerilog and UVM-based verification environments.
- Must-have: Experience with computer architecture concepts and ASIC design/verification flow.
- Must-have: Debug experience with simulation models and root-cause analysis.
- Nice-to-have: GPU architecture knowledge, test-plan and coverage-plan coding and execution experience.
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with AI/ML tools applied to design and verification and memory architecture knowledge.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (with ~1+ years of relevant experience) OR a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Equivalent practical experience may be acceptable.
