Design Verification Engineer Intern

Role Summary

As a Design Verification Engineer Intern you will support design and verification teams working on DRAM and emerging memory technologies. The role provides hands-on exposure to verification methodologies, automation/scripting, and debugging within a global semiconductor engineering environment.

This is an internship role focused on learning and contributing to verification activities for high-density memory products under the guidance of experienced engineers.

Experience Level

Entry-level (Internship). Intended for final-year Bachelor's or Master's students; prior industry experience is not required.

Responsibilities

Primary duties include supporting verification efforts, creating tests, executing regressions, and contributing to automation and debugging.

  • Support chip- and block-level verification activities for advanced memory products.
  • Help develop and maintain digital and analog verification environments for DRAM technologies.
  • Create test patterns, run regression suites, and contribute to increasing functional coverage.
  • Analyze verification failures and assist in root-cause debugging with engineering teams.
  • Participate in automation, scripting, and AI-assisted engineering efforts to improve verification flows.
  • Collaborate with global teams and follow established engineering and verification processes.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and attributes for successful internship performance, followed by preferred (nice-to-have) skills.

  • Must-have: Basic understanding of digital logic design and semiconductor fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with CMOS circuits and electronic systems from coursework.
  • Exposure to programming concepts; preferably Python, C/C++ or similar.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Nice-to-have: Knowledge of Verilog/SystemVerilog and exposure to simulation, verification or VLSI design concepts.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools, scripting, and automation technologies.
  • Interest in memory technologies and experience on academic/research projects involving digital design or verification.

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing the final year of a Bachelor's degree or a Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, enrolled in an accredited university program. Academic coursework or projects in digital logic, CMOS/electronics, or programming are expected.
