Design Verification Engineer Intern

Role Summary

The intern will support design and verification teams developing advanced DRAM and emerging memory technologies. Work includes creating and running tests, debugging failures, and contributing to verification environments and automation.

This is a hands-on engineering internship within a global semiconductor design organization, focused on verification methodologies and tool-driven improvements.

Entry-level (Internship). Intended for final-year Bachelor's or Master's students; no professional experience requirement stated.

Responsibilities

Primary duties include contributing to verification activities, test development, and debugging efforts.

  • Support chip- and block-level verification for memory products.
  • Help develop and maintain digital and analog verification environments for DRAM.
  • Create test patterns, run regression suites, and improve functional coverage.
  • Analyze verification failures and assist with root-cause debugging.
  • Participate in scripting, automation, and AI-assisted engineering improvements.
  • Collaborate with global design and verification teams.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and competencies, plus preferred (nice-to-have) abilities.

  • Must-have: Basic understanding of digital logic design and semiconductor fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with CMOS circuits and electronic systems from coursework.
  • Exposure to programming concepts; preferably Python, C/C++, or similar.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Nice-to-have: Knowledge of Verilog or SystemVerilog and familiarity with simulation, verification, or VLSI design concepts.
  • Experience with scripting, automation, or AI-assisted engineering tools; interest in applying new tools to improve verification flows.
  • Academic or research project experience involving digital design, verification, or semiconductor technologies.

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing the final year of a Bachelor's degree or a Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with enrollment in an accredited university program required. (This internship specifies university enrollment rather than professional experience as the primary eligibility requirement.)
